This post has been a long time coming and somewhat delayed by the chaos of planning and hosting our Quiz Night early in the year and then the craziness of Covid19. We apologise for the delay in conveying our appreciation!
We are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as recipients of a Biannual Community Grant from the City of Karratha earlier this year. The grant funding covers the cost of our part time admin as well as our TV ad for 12 months. This is an absolutely amazing boost for Reach Us Pilbara Inc. As a 100% not for profit organisation our aim is for every cent of our fundraising and donations received to go directly to local cancer patients. The City of Karratha Grant enables us to do exactly that whilst also being able to have our support services managed efficiently.
The biggest hurdle we have faced, and continue to face, is getting our organisation to a point where it is publicly recognised and widely known of by the community. If cancer patients don’t know about Reach Us then we can’t help them. Funding of the continuation of our TV ad will enable us to be a step closer to the aim of being well known within the Pilbara region as a local charity here to assist.
